Do you feel like you truly have the same humor as your SO? Can you joke about the same things you do with your guy friends?

1. I’ve been seeing someone for a month now, and yes, our senses of humor, so far, seem to be identical.

2. I never met a single woman in my life who was on par with me when it comes to humor, especially not gallows humor.

3. At this point, it’s the opposite. I can’t always joke with friends the way I can with my wife.

   Our humor can expose a side of us we aren’t always ready to share. There’s not much about me that my wife doesn’t know, and nobody knows me better.

4. I’ve been with my wife 20 years. We are basically a single entity at this point. The only real difference is that I am a huge Bills fan, and she is a huge Steelers fan.

5. My wife has an amazing sense of humor and can definitely keep up with me, either with something dark or something totally stupid (dad joke, puns, etc). The ability to find humor in things is important to me.

   Before her, I spent a while in a relationship with a woman who had no sense of humor and it sucked the soul out of me.

6. Know your audience.

   I reserve the most cynical/sarcastic/dark jokes for my friends.

8. my wife is funnier than most of my guy friends. and yeah, everything’s on the table. we’re pretty fucking hilarious, to be honest.

11. Absolutely. She has a love/hate relationship with my jokes. But I know she likes them cause every now and then, she sends me one.

12. Absolutely. My girlfriend and I joke about the same fucked up shit I do with my guy friends. Its pretty great lol

13. I’m 43M NM/NK traveling Industrial Mechanic for a good part of my life, she (43F) Dx2/3K was a housewife raising 3 kids for most of her life. Needless to say my sense of humor was cultivated being on the road with a bunch of hard ass roughnecks, hers was entertaining children. She loves the dirty jokes though and punches me in the arm when I make a joke that’s super dark, but she still laughs. I don’t think my personality would allow me to be with a woman that doesn’t have a good sense of humor.

14. I wasn’t allowed to share my thoughts with my wife. She is now ex.

15. Absolutely. I wouldn’t have married her, otherwise.
