I have a friend I am really close with, we hang around multiple times a week. 6 months ago he had no job, was broke, so whenever we hung out, I would buy him food, and give him rides and such. In the present time, he has a good paying job, me on the other hand came up on some hardships, that makes it difficult for me to even buy food outside. He has never once offered to cover for me, and still tries to use me for rides and other minor stuff like he did before. I don’t feel like he owes me, I didn’t help him to get something back, but it just made me wonder, should I stop doing these favours now that I see when the situation is flipped he wouldn’t do the same for me?
TL;DR: Friend doesn’t have my back like I had his, wondering I should set up a boundary with him.
