Alright y’all, so I (M22) met this girl (F27) on a dating app made it clear that all I was looking for was a FWB and she said “ I’m mostly looking to just hook up.” I said ok I’m on board as long as you understand it’s only sex between us. Just like that. So now, she’s a little shy & I feel like we should grab some drinks & get to know each other a little better so we’re both comfortable with each other. My question for people who have hooked up from a dating app, do y’all just get straight to it or go for drinks or some before having sex?

careful, you really don’t want to get into a spot where she regrets the sex and then either A) is too drunk to consent, or B) claims she was too drunk to consent.
Hanging out beforehand is very normal. Some people can’t just go straight for the sex first. Have one or two drinks, aim at keeping fairly sober, her included. Perhaps have some food as well. You’ll get to know each other better and she’ll get more confident about going home with you.
