Hi All, I (M22) am at my wits end with this issue and cannot get an appointment with a dermatologist until July and idk where else to ask. I’m sorry if this wording is weird I just am trying to condense the situation.

I never had issues with underarm sweat/odor outside of the normal. My deodorant was Degree Cool Rush for 5+ years. I got vaccinated in April of 2021 (Pfizer if that matters) and since then I have begun sweating through nearly every shirt and jacket I wear no matter the temperature or the activity i’m doing. Sometimes the color has a yellowish tint. This is not a frequent occurrence and seems to only happen with white/gray shirts. The odor is never strong enough that it is smelt by those around me but if you are to smell the shirt closely you smell it.

I have tried 10+ deodorants (listed below) and none of them suppress it. I will be working at a summer camp this summer so I will be in the heat and running a lot and am nervous because of this issue i am facing, it’s embarrassing.

I scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist but the closest date is second week in July and I start the camp first week of June.

What is a brand or supplement or literally ANYTHING that will help?

tl;dr: deodorants/antiperspirants not helping sudden underarm sweat/odor and am in dire need of menthols to suppress or fix this.

  1. Hydrogen peroxide with the spray top. Im not a dr. Last summer i had some foul odor and tried everything. Then a few sprays of peroxide, then lay on my bed with my arms up and let it dry for a few minutes, then apply my normal deodorant. Worked! Good luck. Again, im not a dr this is just what worked for me when i was dealing with something similar

  2. Also consider applying less. Counterintuitive, yes, but a little goes a long way. If you’ve already tried that, then best of luck to you my friend

  3. I had this problem come up in my late 20s out of nowhere, and found Perspirex, you can get it at drug stores for like $20, it’s a liquid you roll on, and it worked wonders! You only need to use it every night for like a week, then it’s once or twice a week after that, and I honestly don’t use any other products throughout the week. It’s been a game changer. Definitely worth a try! It might irritate the skin there, and burn a little, but in my mind it’s worth it.

  4. Have you changed your laundry detergent or cleaned out you washing machine trap? It make be the soap film left on the shirts.
