What did you guys do with your old wedding rings? (Divorced)

2. I gave mine to my daughter. I’m not sure if that is significant to her or not, but I hope it means something positive for her.

3. I think mine is at the bottom of a lake.

4. $800 ring. Sold it to a pawnshop for $100, went and took myself out and got good and drunk. Good riddance.

5. Sorry female here but I threw it in the river…it wasn’t very expensive and I was annoyed with my ex partner at the time. I do recommend cheap rings so that you can throw them away in a fit of anger haha. The honest truth is I’m not a jewellery person so I never wanted an expensive ring in the first place.
   I’m not sure what he’s done with his ring, I don’t think I’ll ever know.

6. Get it valued. Sell it to a jeweler (you’ll get more money than at the pawn shop) or online, you’ll get more money than jeweler. Don’t tell buyer you’re divorced, say that you’re a widower or something else.

7. First two divorces I had them made into earrings and went to a party as a pirate.
   That is where I met my third ex wife.
   I keep them in a drawer now and try not to let sunlight get on them 😢

8. I hate wearing jewelry, so I got a wedding band tattoo.
   So hundreds of dollars spent on painful laser tattoo sessions.

9. Used it for a river fishing weight. Got caught up on a rock n lost it. Not surprised. Good riddance

10. I made mine (machinist) and I’m still proud of the quality, so I keep it as a point of pride.

11. I still have it. It’s collecting dust in the box in a cabinet somewhere in one of my bathrooms. I probably could sell the thing, but the thought of putting any energy related to her, mental or otherwise is already too much of a hassle.

    My own band I put away because it belonged to my late father and my mother gifted it to me when I got married. Honestly it was the best gift I’d ever received.

    I’ll likely never get married again. So I’ll just keep the ring as a memory of my father.
