When I moved from Edinburgh to Alabama US 7 yeara ago I realized the grocery is actually more expensive here in the US. It’s getting worse with the recent situation

A lettuce here cost $2.2/1.74 pound. Beef here on average cost 14-16 pounds/kg, chicken is 3-6 pound for legs. Cucumber cost about 80p each, apples 80p-1.6pound each. We have to pay another 10% tax on top of these (what kind fup gov tax produce???!!)

So how’s the price of grocery in your area?
