Spending more time with my boyfriend (ex) instead of spending that time with my brother before he got deported.
It’s been almost 3 years since I last saw him in person.
Choosing to take so many gap years through college. I ended up taking 4 years off to myself and had SO much fun. Originally filled with regret while all my other friends lived ‘successful’ lives graduated, adult jobs, had houses. But the reality is I constantly look back at that time and smile through all the memories. I crave reliving those years.
Edit: To add, 5 years later and working towards my degree now. I ended up moving up in my professional career quickly in the last 4 yrs and I now make more money than the majority of my friends with masters degrees. I also own a house.
Follow your own journey!!!
I was invited to go snowmobiling with my best friends and when I met up with them they said there was a change of plans (they texted me, but I didn’t check in time) and said they were going to shopping instead. I’m not sure if you know what snowmobiling is but I spent the entire time dressed ridiculously in a full adult onesie snowsuit and they were all glammed up for the mall. BUT my crush was there and my outfit was the *perfect* icebreaker and we really hit it off chatting about my ridiculous mistake, and we are still together 😛
Sometimes random mistakes end well if you just go with them!
Got pregnant when I never wanted kids. Now she’s a badass who regularly just makes everyday a better day. It completely changed the entire direction of my life. Worth every second.
My first born child.
