Am I crazy? We have eachothers phone codes. She goes through mine at times but I rarely go in hers unless I need some info.
Gf has IG notifications on phone. One says soandso has followed you back Second one says soandso has messaged you Third says soandso has sent an emoji. All 3 instagram notifications timestamps. I click on the message notification and they’re gone. My gf says she followed the person back but didn’t send or receive any messages from them. She had been on her laptop the majority of the day so I’m wondering if she deleted the messages but forgot about the mobile notifications.
Soandso is just some guy who she used to work with.
Is she gaslighting me or am I crazy? I do not use instgram so I’m a bit confused.
TL:DR Gf had instagram message notifications from a “friend” but the messages were deleted. Gf claims there were no messages and that the notifications were wrong.

She’s definitely lying to you but the bigger red flag here is that you go through each other’s phones and check messages like that’s healthy.
