1. Earrings.

   I wasn’t allowed to get my ears pierced growing up and I remember having a longing for it ever since i was 7. It wasn’t allowed in the fundy christian sect my parents raised me in. After I left the church I was terrified to worsen the relationship with my parents by getting them done. Then they refused to meet my boyfriend, who is a non-church going SAINT, and I thought “fuck it” and got them pierced at the ripe old age of 30. Sometimes i just sit and look at my little collection and that alone is enough to make me happy all over again.

4. A package of “borgonzola” cheese. Tangy like gorgonzola, soft and creamy like brie. I am going back to buy more for Game Day snacks.

5. New dumbbells, I keep using the lighter ones for most of my triceps exercises but wanted something heavier for when I target the biceps.

27. Kitchen table, but I’m getting bids now to cut a big opening in my house and install two huge windows which will look out into the woods. I’ve been wanting to do this for the whole time we’ve owned our home, and I’ve been saving up for it.

31. Not recent-recent, but the throwing axe I bought last year makes me pretty happy.

32. New camping gear!!! I was hurt really badly last year and have spent so much time in hospital getting better. New camping gear means that I’m on the mend and I’ll soon be back to my old hobbies and getting back outside! I’d love to never see the inside of a hospital again. That being said, one of the new gadgets is an emergency spot beacon just in case of another accident (Yelp).

33. The groceries that I bought that allowed me to make cream puffs. And wine. That was even more recent lol.

    I usually buy generic everything. I bought a small bottle of dawn from the dollar store to clean my engagement ring with.

    Turns out it also removes those damn yellow stains men leave on pillow cases!! 🥳🥳

    He told me he wanted to be proposed to which I wasn’t against but I wanted to be proposed to first. I decided that it doesn’t matter and that I’d propose first to surprise him. His birthday is next week and that’s when I plan on doing it so wish me luck!

    He grew up very poor and worked hard to start a business and g get to where he is today. Somehow he just never thought to buy himself a piece of fine jewelry.

    He loves it because it means something to him. I love it because he looks so handsome in it.

48. General supplies required for ball python husbandry: I’m keeping to a strict budget but every month I get closer to my goal of getting my first snake.

    Set up is very expensive, but the months of planning and saving have given me ample time to seriously research my animal, as well as plenty of time to consider how serious I am about this as a snake is quite the commitment.
