How to ask people to be friends or hang out

1. Hey are you doing anything this weekend? I was gonna go do X if you wanna come hang out?

   For girls, if you way something like “do you want to platonically hang out?” She might think it’s funny and be more comfortable saying yes, since it’s been established that it’s not a date or romantic in anyway.

2. I invite people along to somewhere. If they say no after the second ask and do not provide an alternative, I keep things cordial but abandon my hopes.

   Or: I am not good at this either.
