Given the time they did tell you was pretty early on in the relationship. Would it make a difference depending on the person? Would your opinion change if it was a serious relationship with your partner by that point?

Would you ever do that for someone? Would you want them to pay you?

  1. Honestly, as someone who has been cheated on a few times for one reason or another it would naturally start making me see red flags. I do try to give people a chance, but if it was me personally and my partner went off and married someone else to be in a country? I wouldn’t be okay with it. Or to put it in a different way I’m never going to be someone’s side b, lol.

  2. Why wouldn’t they just marry me? That doesn’t make sense. Are we both immigrants? Who am I to marry so I can stay too?

  5. Pretty sure you can’t get away with this in Canada. Marriage doesn’t mean instant citizenship or immigrant status. Way too many people would exploit this if it were that easy. Years ago people could do it but no more
