I’m 25m and thinking about getting veneers done in Turkey as it’s way cheaper than the UK, also looking at getting jaw/chin augmentation done in Czech Republic. Anyone done similar? What was your experience like? Do you like how it looks?

  1. If you’re thinking about veneers, bare in mind they need to be redone every 5-7 years. You can’t just decide not to because the process involves having all the enamel shaved off your teeth meaning you will need veneers for the rest of your life. At 25, even if you only live to 70 that’s upwards of 6 sets of veneers

  2. Considering it, i got quoted £1500 by my dentist for composite bonding on my front upper 4 teeth. Curious how much it would cost abroad

  3. I haven’t done it yet, but am going to Turkey in 2 weeks to get a full set of veneers. My sister in law got them done at the same place I’m going to 6 years ago and had an amazing experience, and has only had to get any follow up work done once, which they will do for free if you go back to Turkey. As another commenter has said, it is a big commitment as you can’t ever go back to your own teeth so definitely consider it long and hard.. can your own teeth be improved or are veneers the only answer? But it’s the right thing for me and it’s costing me less than £4k for 20 teeth which I will just budget for over the rest of my life.

  4. Well I’m an immigrant and for any dental stuff I always go back to Lithuania. As far as I know, pretty much all Lithuanians in the UK do that. It’s a bit cheaper and our dentists are excellent. I don’t know why, but I trust Lithuanian dentists more than British (and vice versa with doctors).

I also had rhinoplasty in Lithuania and the results were ok but not great. I might need a revision, but I don’t know where I’d get that done. I’ve heard from other people that Lithuanian surgeons aren’t that good with noses and that Turkey would be a much better choice for that.

  5. This is just my opinion, but I don’t think veneers should be considered an option unless your whole set of teeth are completely fucked and beyond repair. There’s nothing some composite bonding and whitening can’t improve. Again, just my opinion but veneers look too fake for me, I’ve never looked at anyone with them and thought “they’ve got nice teeth”; I’ve looked at them and instantly thought they’ve got fake teeth, cause it looks like they’ve got 1 massive tooth on the top, and 1 massive tooth on the bottom.

  6. Turkish Cypriot here. My dad went to North Cyprus as opposed to Turkey to get his teeth done and is VERY happy as the price difference is vast. He’s very happy with the quality too, and the quality of service is even better in Turkey. He only went to Cyprus as his mother lives there, wanted to see her, and has a home to stay at.
