I’m currently trying to update my driving license (name), however I have lost my license so I am unable to attach it within the application, lost licenses require a fee however, changing the name doesn’t.
The main issue is that the postcode for the two situations are different – For a replacement license, the fee is £20 and the postcode is SA99 1AB, and the change of name on a photocard license is free but the postcode is SA99 1BN.
Could anyone shed further light on the situation

I’m pretty sure you can do both online.
They won’t do both tasks simultaneously, they’re completely separate teams at DVLA (hence the separate postcodes).
Send off for your replacement licence, when it arrives send it back with the change of name documentation.
General Info: the noun is ‘licence’, in UK English ’license’ is the verb.
