Have you ordered anything off AliBaba ? How was your experience?

  1. I’ve ordered off AliExpress before. According to Google, they are owned by Alibaba

Only ever bought clothing because they offer some styles/aesthetics that are impossible to find in US/Western clothing stores. Some of the stuff is a bit short since I’m 5’9/5’10, but they work for photos and whatnot.

  2. Meh.

Good price but the stuff took forever to be received and two of the five magazines I ordered were broken. Wouldn’t properly feed the darts into the Nerf gun

  3. Only AliExpress.

I got a bootlego set of a 4ft long Executor Class Super Star Destroyer.

It’s pretty badass. It took forever to get here though.

  4. From AliExpress, I bought one of those ergonomic holder things for my Nintendo 3DS years ago. I could not find one anywhere in the US (Amazon, Gamestop, eBay, etc) for my model of 3DS but for $3ish including shipping I got a nice hunk of plastic that works just as expected. I’ve never used AliBaba proper.

  5. Ordered a couple alternators off it for work once that were only available there, took like two months to arrive but I guess they worked.

  6. That’s a tough one. How much is shipping? I would read the fine print and be skeptical.

  7. Yes. And it was usually the literal exact same product as a retail product for sale in America. I have mostly purchased speciality plumbing fittings for my homebrewing hobby. The cost was about 80% less than buying from an American retailer, but the products usually took months to arrive.

  8. Yes. Well, AliExpress, to buy shellac flakes and a DC variable power supply. It was cheaper in exchange for taking a little longer and other than that it went fine.

  9. I’ve bought cheap LED strips from there. Pretty run of the mill experience. Got what I paid for, product worked as advertised.
