Alright so I (30m) mustered up the courage to ask out a coworker (29f) ( separate department ) which she said yes. Forward to the date and it went well, had great convos on various things which lasted 2 and a half hours. She said she was actually surprised by me asking her out as I’m, as I told her, a fairly reserved person and said she liked seeing this side of myself.

At the end she and I said we had a great time and I said maybe we could do it again some time and she seemed really happy about the idea, hugged and ended there.

While I did give her my number and we’ve texted slightly, she doesn’t seem to use it much in terms of communication which could be her style.

I want to ask her on another date but not over text but in person but also feel I should try talking to her over text at least. Should I try to keep convos going over text (not flooding just if she responds) or should I try to just talk in person and bring it up naturally?

I don’t want to seem overbearing especially from the get go, but want her to know Im interested. I’m trying to be slow because if it goes south at least we’d be coworkers and not have any potential drama.

Any advice is welcome

Update 1: message sent, still waiting for response, anxiety growing x.x

Update 2: she’s working an event tonight and talked for a moment but didn’t bring it up as she was busy helping people and probably hasn’t had a chance to respond yet

Update 3: she finally got back and said while she enjoyed it she wanted to just be friends :/ dn

  1. Just ask her out on another date immediately. Texting would be fine. The point of dating is to get to know her in person.
