Plan what you can and improv the rest 🙂
Usually have a good old cry
I like taking mini trips to national parks or hiking trails. Helps me isolate myself from society and create some type of zen.
Immediate coping reaction is to cry, when I’ve had a chance to react emotionally then I try to get outside, especially on a kayak if its nice out, to find a little peace and fully process. Also, therapy has helped too.
“it is what it is” “this too shall pass”
For negative life changes, I like taking a long solo walk, maybe reading or journaling in a park for a bit, listening to some music that’s relatable in the moment. Eventually texting/calling a few friends, getting their perspective and crying whenever I’m ready.
Lots of crying and sitting in silence to process. Therapy helps.
Crying, sleeping, talking it over with therapist, hugs from loved ones, exercise (and fresh air), time.
