I have two female friends traveling Europe, they were in London this weekend and said it’s just guys, groups of guys every where. Literally, just walking around. She said as far as here eyes could see, it was just men. My friend said at one point they felt a little awkward because the lack of other females. Is this true?

  2. I live in the north of England and wanted to do a daily trip to London. I did it all, traveled up and slept on coach, spent 10 hours there walking and sight seeing them came back on coach, as a young alone female I definitely didn’t feel like this was the case. I had to break my anxiety on traveling alone again and I felt comfortable wherever I went. There was a range of all genders and ages.

  3. it’s the first time i’m hearing this. I’ve never felt like there were more men then women. Perhaps there was a football match nearby?

  4. Were they in Soho? That’s the only place you’ll see men outnumber women 5 to 1.

  5. Maybe in the city at days end. The financial services are quite male dominated and they do spill out of the pubs onto the streets after work?

    Other than that… No wtf.

  6. Actually the reverse will be true. It’s normal for capital cities (esp London and NY) to over index for females esp in the younger groups. This is because such a large percentage of the anual graduate crop go to the capital. And university grads are more likely to be female. And male grads are more likely to graduate in engineering etc and work in non admin roles.

This is the reason why the dating scene is so tricky for young women in cities like London and NY…. too many females. It only takes a minor difference ( like 54 to 46) for the effect to be quite noticeable. Add to this the fact that there capital also over indexes for young gay men.

  7. I thought this question sounded familiar. For a turn of phrase I don’t think I’ve come across before it’s now twice in five days.

  8. Why have you made the exact same post you made 5 days ago with a different account? Weird.
