Downvote this comment if you want, but I agree with /u/PM_ME_UR_INSIGHTS; really want this sub to go toward recommending what to do about the health and functionality of someone’s *spinal cord*?
A heating pad works wonders on my shoulder blades.
Hanging, low weight behind the neck lifts, and trigger point massage / foam rolling.
Also, don’t assume the tightness is just in your back and neck. You can probably run your knuckles from the middle of your sternum to the top of your shoulder and feel a lot of tension there. Getting that tension out is also a great way to keep you from hunching forward.
Workout
Google Mark Wildman-neck mobility. Then follow religiously.
yoga
Workout and I found a daily mobility routine on YouTube that I do 3 times a week. Also monthly chiropractor visits.
I saw a physical therapist. She assessed my condition and gave me some stretches. Changed my life.
Chiropractic neck + back pillows for the car seat, CBD cream, and hydration. Seriously try to drink a 100oz a day and see how much the muscle pains fade.
Also stress reduction can reduce tense and aching muscles. Yoga usually helps a lot.
