I (18f) talked to this guy (19) at a party, he messaged me after it and we’ve been writing since ( for 2 weeks now). He seemed really nice and caring in the beggining and so I was kind ( maybe a bit too much). When we went out, he was arrogant and smoked in front of me even tho I said I hated it. Also he didn’t even say goodbye just went away. After he texted me to say he was so sorry that he acted like a dickhead, but when we met the next day, he didn’t even acklowledge me.
I know that he had a difficult past, but I just can’t put up with his self pity and emotional blackmailing and he is kinda addicted to me. I know we don’t have a future but I don’t want to hurt him bc his mental state would worsen. How can I tell him to stop but also not hurt him? I can’t ignore him completelly bc he is in my friend group. I feel like it’s my fault for giving him wrong signals.

  1. Send him man “no spark” text. Tell him he is great but you just don’t feel a spark and can’t explain it. Say you know he will find somebody awesome! End it with “good luck!”.
