One or two sizes larger than what you would normally wear. I fit in an XL but always wear a 2X because mushrooming out of my T-shirt just isn’t fun or flattering.

Oh man I was you a couple years ago with the large shirt and 34×30 stretch waist jeans. Wear a nice button up shirt imo.
Now at 160 medium stuff and 32” jeans look great.
I’m really interested in the answers that don’t have to do with working out. I usually go comfort over flattering. I like really soft tees. I love the Bill Murray tee shirts from his golf brand and I get a lot of under armor tees.
I’m currently at my heaviest of all time, by intention. About 230lbs when my ideal weight is closer to 190lbs.
