I am 32 and working in normal 9-5. Never had much friends back in high school and college and now the people I knew are busy with their lives or they hang out with people they are closer to, so I am pretty much have 0 interaction. For you social people with a ton of friends to hang out with, where did you find them or how did you do it ? Tired of seeing acquaintances posting moments of their activities with friends on IG while I am sitting here, Netflix or Youtube all day

  1. Many of my friends are current or former coworkers. Some I met at the gym or a bar or through mutual friends. A few through clubs or sport leagues.

  2. Get a hobby and go to meetings/classes related to it. You’ll end up finding like minded people.
That’s how I found my friends.

  3. If you see someone doing a great thing for you, do a positive thing back. Then if you think there the right one, then ask “can I get your number”? Then when you get home just text them and say “Hey!”

  4. I’m in a similar boat, so I started looking for groups to join in town. I came across an axe throwing league (never even threw an axe beforehand) and it’s been great! Some people signed up alone or with friends but it’s been a great way to meet people

  5. I got friends through work & hung out with them more than friends I knew from high school. Try a coworkers

  6. Try hanging out in ur local cafe everyday or whenever you can. Make yourself a familiar face there. I’m pretty sure there are people who hang out there often too and might recognize that you’re a usual customer. This can also work in different establishments not just a cafe. Goodluck

  7. I’m so fucking awkward that leaving the house makes me cringe. Then I leave and I want to go back home because my social meter is too full to actually speak to strangers.

  8. Haven’t used it yet, but I plan to try Bumble BFF. Could give that a shot. (Note: Bumble BFF is not a separate app. You have to download Bumble and then go to the BFF bit)
