How did you get back on your feet financially after being broke/jobless/financially dependent on others?

  1. Started working and saving money. Saved money specifically so I could move out in my own.

  2. This sucks to say but get a job, any job that will take you will do until you can get a better one. Work, work overtime when asked and cut all spending for a month or 2. Only buy necessities and also reevaluate what necessities means to you.

When i was 17-19 I paid rent, went to England 2-3 times a year, helped my mom go back to college ( financially ) even spent 10k on a surgery and still had at least 4-5k hanging around at all times on minimum wage. I would write down everything I spent but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have fun or buy things. I did I just had to ask myself how much I wanted it and if it was worth it.

Also having bad habits like smoking or drinking take up ALOT of money.

New habits can be hard to get used to but it’ll be worth it.
