So I told a friend of mine that I’m a bit jealous of his relatively new group of friends speically that he is hanging out with them very frequently, and also told him I would be sad if he leaves me or reduce the frequency of our meetings once he has a girlfriend.
To avoid having to choose between hanging out with me or them, I suggested to him to introduce me to them so I can hang out with all of them as a group.
Was i needy or annoying to ask and say these things?

No u are not needy. You just don’t want to loose your friend.

It’s not needy to express your feelings, but it’s needy and demanding to tell him how you expect of him to get you involved. If he wanted to do that, he’d already done it. Which doesn’t mean he might not care about you, he might just want you to be less reliant on him.
The lesson to be learned here is to not depend on one person only – you should build your own circle of friends. Branch out, grow some new hobbies, grow more friendships – close-knit or casual.
