Hi, fellow men. How old were you when you finally reached the Jimmy Buffett state of consciousness?

  1. I’ll start.

When I turned 33, Jimmy Buffett stop being that weird old dude my parents listened to while drinking fruity drinks on the patio and became my board shorts-wearing crooner superstar.

I don’t know what influenced the change, but now I’m always on the beach in my mind.

    Changes in attitude, eh?

  2. Oh……When I was about 35 I had never been more content and at peace in my entire life. The ending to the song “He Went to Paris” fits my life perfectly, “Some of it’s magic……..some of it’s tragic……but I’ve had a good life, all the way.”

  3. 18 or 19. I decorated my college house in it. painted adirondak chairs and a huge light up pink flamigo in the living room.

  4. For those playing the home game, Jimmy Buffett sings Margaritaville.

He doesn’t sing the Pina Colada song. That’s Rupert Holmes.

But, to be fair, I identify more with Zac Brown’s Toes than I ever did with Buffett.

  5. One of the first jobs I ever had was working in a retail store where Jimmy Buffett played on an infinite loop. I have no idea how I’d feel about Jimmy Buffett if not for that, but *because* of that, I will always hate Jimmy Buffett. It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
