Why is it so important to other people, in a relationship, friendship or otherwise, to be vulnerable?

  1. I don’t get the question. If you aren’t open and vulnerable with each other, then you aren’t that close. Those things are part of how deep and meaningful relationships are created and maintained. Might as well stay strangers or acquaintances if you don’t want to be close to someone, imo.

  2. It’s the only way you can potentially build a genuine, long lasting connection with another human. In vulnerability, there is true strength.

  3. Vulnerability is genuine. It’s you without your guard up. You’re demonstrating trust when you become vulnerable with someone and trust is the foundation of relationships.
