I (21F) lost my virginity a couple days ago and he did everything right in terms of making sure I was aroused and he even used lube but I still ended up bleeding. I sort of expected that to happen but it’s been three days and if I bend wrong or sit weird, it tears open and starts bleeding again.

I’m seeing him again tonight and I really want to have sex again but would it be a bad idea if I’m not fully healed from the last time? And is there anything I can put down there that can help the healing process?

  1. Don’t have sex again until you’re fully healed or else you risk making things worse.

Keep the area clean and wear loose underwear.

If it doesn’t heal soon, you should consider seeing a gyno if you have the means and ability to do so.

It is not expected at all to physically tear in this way during sex. You and your partner may want to have even more foreplay and lube in the future. Start small with fingers and work your way up in size to prepare for whatever size he is.

  2. Go see your gyno, I assume you want this area of your life to go as smoothly as possible, this could be a snag in that plan.

  3. You need to heal first. That doesn’t mean you can’t have any fun together though.

There are always alternatives to PIV sex, especially since you have lube already.
