If a date isn’t bad or is strictly average but you’re not sure how attracted/into someone you are, what do you do? Does a kiss tell the other person you’re into them probably more than you actually are? Or does no kiss tell the other person you’re strictly friends and the date went poorly/aren’t into them at all?

No Kiss doesn’t mean anything, I can tell your young so i’m gonna save you some future stress. If you’re not sure if you’re into them you probably aren’t into them that much don’t force anything, let it come naturally.
I think instead of a kiss, words would be more appropriate one way or the other.
If a date is mediocre, then you’re thinking too hard about it. Unless you’re looking for a casual hook up, then just move on, the chemistry isn’t there.
