  1. Is that what y’all call motorheads? Anyway its a 1967 Shelby GT500. Just looks sick and powerful.

  2. If we’re talking proper big body muscle cars then a ‘69 Charger [Daytona](https://www.google.com/search?q=1969+charger+daytona&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwidurblhMT4AhXYd98KHTSFCnwQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=375&bih=629&dpr=3#imgrc=CAxAtKsrQTKjoM)

If we’re talking anything aggressive looking with a v8 that includes pony cars then a ‘68 [Firebird](https://www.google.com/search?q=1968+firebird+verdoro+green&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi0h5SKhcT4AhXjRd8KHe9DDlMQ_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=375&bih=629&dpr=3#imgrc=S7Dcd9UOyGSLrM) 400 in verdoro green with a black vinyl top. The vinyl top completes the car for me

Edit: The Daytona is my favorite proper muscle car because they sent that thing round an oval at 200 mph and it must’ve been horrifying compared to standard 4 on the floor top speed of the day

The Firebird wins for overall favorite even though it isn’t a proper muscle car. First gen f bodies, both the Camaro and Firebird look cute but the Firebird is often more affordable, and the nose of the bird grew on me along with the hood [tachometer](https://www.google.com/search?q=firebird+hood+tachometer&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiPueyJhsT4AhWJON8KHYhiCVgQ_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=375&bih=629&dpr=3#imgrc=uDtmxCoK5SUQ0M) and I love that verdoro green with the black vinyl

  3. ’73 Plymouth Barracuda. I love the body, and the interior. They had really good aero and graphics kits from the factory, the 340 AAR cars are my favorite. They also handled well for their size.

  4. 71 Plymouth Hemicuda or Barracuda. I love the overall look of a ‘Cuda, but the 71’s segmented grill just ties it together.

  5. The 1969/1970 Dodge Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird. I love how obnoxious they look.

  6. I’m not a car guy at all, but I always loved the look of the Ford Falcon.

  7. First generation mustangs. They weren’t the most powerful a lot of the time, and had plenty of flaws but they are like the most American thing ever. The story of the Mustang’s creation is really cool. Brining a cool fun car to the masses. There is something kind of romantic about them. I also don’t think it gets any cooler than the 71 Mach 1 or the 69 Boss.

They definitely have made some real flops since, a few decades of cars that just didn’t do it for me, but the most recent generation in my opinion was a real smash. If I was less practical I would have bought a GT when it was time for a new car recently.

  8. I like modern muscle, so the GT500 or the ZL1 Camaro are really friggin cool. They are muscle better than anything from the 60s that can run with European sports cars in the corners.

  9. Far as American muscle cars go I’ll stick with a mid 70s Corvette. Yes I know some folks don’t consider the old corvettes to be true muscle cars.

Now my personal favorite sports car is an 80s model Toyota MR2.

  10. I love cars and although I’m not a big muscle car guy myself, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Challenger Hellcat and Shelby GT500. Those cars are unashamedly American and I love them for that. It’s a nice contrast to the precise and calculating German performance cars.

  11. i truly love anything from the 60’s – early 70’s. for a pure muscle car, it has to be a chevelle from that era.
i have a soft spot in my heart for Dodge Chargers though.

  12. I remember my first husband had a ‘69 Plymouth Roadrunner which we didn’t drive that much but when we did we got lots of comments on it. It was rather cool. And I’m not into cars.
