I never really get nice things for myself or ask for nice things as gifts but I’m visiting my family right now and my mom took me on a trip to the outlets and got me some very nice gifts. I’m really excited because I’ve never had some of the things I got and they were long on my wish list and want to tell my friends but don’t want it to seem like I’m bragging. It just got me thinking- at what point would something like this be bragging? And should I just not say anything?

To some people saying anything about it at all could be taken as bragging, others not at all or at least until you say it too often and to too many people.
It depends on why you are telling this your friends. Is it for your friends’ approval, attention, reassurance, or validation ? If so, then yes that’s bragging.
