How to reach out for second date in this?

Met this girl in a vacation trip and we really connected. She also saved me from drowning too lol. Asked her out as soon as we went back home because it turned out she didn’t live too far from me. First date went great and she agreed to a second date. The problem is both our schedules are jam packed with different events each other can’t miss. How do I stay connected or often do I text to make sure the second date happens?
