I’d probably go with Washington, D.C. as well as Chicago.
Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Las Vegas
Las Vegas.
DC, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New Orleans
I think this list is far more odd than most people assume. Most Europeans and otherwise know Pittsburgh despite bring fairly small, but don’t necessarily know Boston despite being larger.
Ofc Vegas, Chicago, etc, but I think there’s quite a few cities known for one or two things so much that they are known outside the US
Edit: Pittsburgh and Boston is a bad example, but my point stands
Washington DC and Las Vegas. Maybe Miami and Chicago. I expect that people who watch exported TV will know Albuquerque from Breaking Bad, but not that they’d know where it is, and car people would know Detroit.
LA
Atlanta assuming you keep up with filming location of major movies (Marvel and Netflix mainly).
Chicago – drill music is a global phenomenon and started in Chicago
Should be Phoenix, but soon.
DC and Chicago are the definite ones in my opinion.
Maybe cities like Boston and Miami?
Boston because of being the home of Harvard and MIT. Miami cause of pop culture of cocaine and being a party city.
Edit:Forgot to add Las Vegas as the gambling capital of the U.S
Miami and Vegas. DC. Maybe Chicago.
Vegas, DC, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia.
Detroit, maybe? Fords, Motown and EDM have international appeal, I think.
A lot of people knew about Salt Lake City and/or Park City. I think the 2002 Winter Olympics helped us out some. And Mormons. People always seemed to know about the Latter Day Saints and their excellent record keeping – – the genealogy is amazing I guess.
Maybe Denver. I was curious why it was a name chosen on Money Heist/Casa de Papel.
Miami, Washington DC,
and Las Vegas
Chicago, Boston, Miami, maybe even St Louis
Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Key West, Honolulu, Boston, Seattle, there’s just too many to list.
Chicago and DC, and Las Vegas are the only ones I’d bet money on, but Dallas, Miami, San Francisco, and Nashville are _possible_.
Miami
Houston. If nothing else, because of NASA.
Only Las Vegas lol
D.C. maybe
Disney World
If I were to guess it would be D.C, LV, SF and Chicago
The only one I haven’t seen named yet so far is Seattle
Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, Orlando, and Las Vegas. Maybe Seattle.
What about Memphis? Surely there are plenty of Elvis fans out there.
Chicago, San Francisco, Washington DC, Miami, Las Vegas, Boston and Philadelphia
Miami, Vegas, Washington.
Las Vegas, Chicago and Disneyland.
Probably Washington, Vegas, Chicago, Miami, maybe San Francisco or Boston
Vegas and Miami
Let’s see..Boston, DC, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Honolulu all spring to mind
Definitely Topeka, Kansas
It’s not a city, but you included Texas so I’m going to mention Ohio. For some reason, a lot of people know about it, and I wouldn’t expect them to. But it must be mentioned in a fair amount of English learning texts, or international US-History books. Plus, Glee made it more known as well.
As for actual cities, probably LV, SF, maybe Austin/Tech areas of Texas, Chicago, DC, Orlando, Anaheim, and Boston.
San Francisco
Chicago
San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, Seattle
I wouldn’t have guessed Atlanta, except that I’m from there, and everywhere I go, people seem to know it.
It used to be because of the ‘96 Olympics and Gone with the Wind. Now I think it’s because of hip hop.
When I went to Italy, nobody knew what New Hampshire was, so I told then I’m from Boston and most people knew. If they didn’t, I’d say “it’s right next to New York” and then they got it. A little lie never hurt
Well thanks to being the riot capital of the world and where I reside-ish, Portland Oregon.
Miami, Las Vegas, Seattle
