Similar to how construction and repair industry consists of mostly small businesses and entirely male dominated. What industries in USA are dominated by small businesses and these businesses are run by an almost entire cohort of women owners and employees?

  1. A good way to narrow the search is to look at industries with low concentration and barriers to entry (HHi).

    Childcare services
    Cleaning services
    Home health aides
    Occupational therapists

  4. I’m in trucking. A lot of women out here have their own trucks and/or a few drivers in them.

  5. I don’t know there’s probably more construction and repair woman-owned businesses than ever. Restaurant/hospitality, finance/accounting too. They grow up watching dad run it and they take it over when it’s their time.
