Alright, so when I’m in a group of people I always get this urge to make everyone feel comfortable. And when there is an argument (doesnt matter big or small), I feel bad and guilty (dont know why tf, really). So, I need a helping hand, because I just realised this has been killing my social interactions all my life.

Have I tried ignoring this feeling and be more egotistic? I tried. Doesnt work (at least the way I’ve tried).

Is it maybe because I hate interacting with other people? Probably yes. So, sort of a social anxiety. But you tell me, Reddit, you surely know what to name it.

So, the thing is, how do I not care about everyone and just go on my own enjoying conversations?

  1. While it’s kind of you to try and make everyone feel comfortable, if it’s done from a place of anxiety it can make things worse for you.

Are you afraid of conflict? Even though conflict is inevitable, a fear of conflict can make you more likely to attempt to placate people around you. The source could be from numerous places within you, but until its examined and dealt with it will likely continue.
