When my anxiety gives me false thoughts, sometimes I have trouble knowing it’s not real but only in my head. I become very insecure about situations but I know I can only reassure myself. Not expect someone close to me or I love to reassure me all the time, that everything is okay even when I feel it isn’t…any advice?

  1. It’s best if you can figure out the source of the anxiety and why you became conditioned to think a certain way. Could be childhood trauma, or maybe just some specific event that triggered a thought process involving anxiety. When you start to work through that, it helps shape your mental model going forward because then you really start believing that the anxiety is just all in your head. Right now you at least recongnize that a lot of the fears are probably trivial but you don’t completely believe that yet
