FWIW both Heathrow and Gatwick have good rail links into central London so if that’s your goal then just pick whichever one looks to be the least disrupted right now.
They’re both fine.
It wouldn’t be the deciding factor for me on where to fly to/from.
Heathrow has more and better transport links to central London, having the Heathrow Express, regular trains and the tube. Also, it is closer by road if you’re booking a car. Gatwick just has the Gatwick Express and Southern trains, which is less reliable in my experience. Southern in general have a bad reputation.
It would depend on where you’re trying to get to in London after arrival. Also depends on your arrival time as to what transport is available at that time of day/night. They’ve both got pros and cons. London city was always my favorite to arrive into if possible.
Both are the same for efficiency at the airport on arrival and both have good connections to London. Heathrow is better if you are going to any other part of Britain as you can avoid London
Completely depends where in London you’re staying. Also, Heathrow is actually in London, whereas Gatwick is outside.
Depends where you’re going.
City Airport is the best but only has flights to a few destinations. Then Heathrow or Gatwick. Both are better than Luton or Stansted, but I’ve had no problems with arrivals at Luton and it’s easier to reach the North from there.
Heathrow
Heathrow has a better calibre of patron
Gatwick has been having nightmares with baggage recently. Overall I think Heathrow is generally slightly better, but under usual circumstances there isn’t much in it, and both are acceptable
