  1. Don’t have, don’t know anyone who has either. I know there are some models being sold with a ice cube maker/dispenser but they are not popular at all.

  2. Not common but I’ve seen people having freezers with an ice cube machine in the door.

  3. Never owned one like that. Seems like additional complexity that needs cleaning and can leak heat. In a house on first floor, the tap water is cool enough.

  4. We (Turkish) usually have big fridges, but I have never seen one with a water or ice dispenser. Most people just put bottles of water in the fridge (we have an extra cooler diepenser for our summer house due to the high demand for cold water in summer)

  5. I don’t believe it’s common. At least not in homes. I’ve only seen it in one home. They do exist at the store though.

  6. They exist but it’s not common to have them. I can only remember seeing one once in an house…

Tap water is usually good, and most people don’t use that much ice so it seems like a waste.

  7. I don’t have something like this, and I don’t think they are popular here in Switzerland. I don’t understand why such a thing exists, as the refrigerator is located very close to the kitchen sink and tap in most houses, so the added complexity here doesn’t make sense.

  8. In Finland I’ve never seen one. But I lived one summer in Geneva and there our brand new apartment had this thing. I’ve no idea if they are common there or not.

  9. Not really a thing here. It’s called an American fridge and some people have it, but very uncommon.

Having a boiling water tap is however very common the last decade or so.

  10. Sweden, Only place I have seen one was at a younger person who was showing of his apartment and how tech everything was, even the fridge had a computer on it, ate up to much space of the interior.

Running extra lines of water I think is why most don’t get one, plus most countries have really high quality cold tap water where I been, so many functions doesn’t really makes life better. Just less space for freezing stuff. And ice in stuff is not really a thing so that function would also never be used more then maybe at parties once or twice a year.

  11. My parents owned one for a few years. Plumbing it in was awful since of course there was no tap near where the fridge usually stands. After a few years they never bothered with changing the filter and never used it’s features anymore. Tap water itself is just fine and cold enough too. These days they have a normal fridge again.
