As a kid I went roughly 10 years not speaking at all. I missed out on a lot of interacting. I work now so there is the occasional coworker chatter but I’m not sure what to say most times. I try to ask questions listen joke around but it’s hard. I try meeting up with people just so I force myself to be around them.
What are some ways to make good conversation to make long lasting relationships?

  2. I just kind of talk about shit I really like to people I meet briefly. I used to work retail and used to briefly talk to a guy but it was just the standard “hey how was your weekend. cool. cya.” Then I told him I watched The Sopranos and his eyes lit up. We started chatting about all sorts after that.

At university I got seated next to a guy once. I didn’t know what the fuck to talk about so I didn’t say anything the first two days. One day we had to do a task together so we were forced to talk. I asked him if he had much on after class etc and he said he did muy thai. I watched a lot of UFC so I asked if he watched that and we had a fair bit to talk about after that!

A lot of folk won’t share your interests, but some will!
