Why do Americans pronounce the different radio bands AM and FM with their letters? In MyCountry we pronounce them differently and it bothers me the American I met didn’t pronounce them like I do.

5. It is because of a pact we made with the FCC (Satan). We traded proper pronunciation for the ability to blast Dave and Chet in the Morning at least 1000 miles and get commercials down from every five minutes to every 10.
