I’m a very calm person who can control their nerves pretty well but when I think of the people that bullied me in that class I instantly get anxious(my heart starts beating really fast). I stopped talking to them as soon as I got to high-school and once in a while I look at some of their Instagram pages and they alot of them look like douche bags now. I can’t decide if I should go or not. I also don’t have my own car so it’s not like a I could just show up and then leave if I wasn’t having fun. Any advice would be great.

  1. “dooche” lol. Seems like you don’t want to go so why is there even a question as to if you should go? If you don’t want to then don’t. Also an elementary school reunion seems kinda silly. You’re still in high school so just look forward to the high school reunions. I like those cause usually the people who were bullies end up fat or unsuccessful or both.

  2. go and then refuse to recognize your bullies, or call them by different name. just say “I cannot remember you at all”. nothing is more insulting then not recognizing people.

  3. We recently had a k-5 reunion. It was absolutely amazing seeing and catching up with fellow classmates from 35ish years ago. Most seemed to have fuzzy memories but all seemed to remember positive events. I feel like those who could not or chose to not attend really missed out on a once in a lifetime experience. It seems like another “reunion” is in the works a few years down the road. This time I will do my best to roundup as many of us as possible even if it means picking up the plane ticket or a few nickels for travel anonymously. I believe my elementary age kids also benifited via hearing the stories from back in “the day.” It gives it bit of perspective to a child to hear dad reminisce about his 2nd grade teacher whom attended the event! Life is short and there is a better chance feeling fuller versus emptier after attending.
