So me and my girlfriend are both 20 years old and have been together for almost 3 years now. For the first two years we mainly resorted to oral stuff and have never had sex because we were both living with our parents at the time. Now that we live on our own we started having sex. The main problem is that both of us are scared of unwanted pregnancy and can only have sex after her ovulation. This means that we only get to have sex maybe like 2 or 3 times in 3 to 4 weeks. We have only had sex a handfull of times and the last time we had sex the condom broke and we had to get plan B. The problems are as follows: I can’t find the right condom size as even the biggest one available in my country is too tight for me and leads to me almost not feeling anything, and my girlfriend is scared of taking pills and has no plans of taking them what so ever. I do pull out everytime we have sex but it is not really too enjoyable for me as the condom is really uncomfortable and tight. I am scared that lack of sex will cause us to break up even though she says that she doesn’t mind it all that much. What do we do and how do we overcome this problem? (P.S. we were both virgins and are pretty much totally new to sex.)

  1. Why is she scared of taking pills? What’s she scared of? If she doesn’t want to take pills, there’s IUD or arm implant (which I have)

  2. I’ve heard people say they’re scared of the pill but plenty people are having no problems on it. Many people are living better lives due to scheduled cycles, among other things.

    >leads to me almost not feeling anything,

Yes, this is condoms in my experience. There are different brands. You might find one that’s more resistant to tearing at least.

But nothing prevents pregnancy as reliably as the pill.
