And I mean friend not someone you’re romantically interested in. After how many times hanging out with some in a public context is it socially acceptable to invite them over to your house to play games, watch movies etc

  2. It depends. Is it one on one or in a group? In a group is easy and you can do it pretty early, probably within one or two times of hanging out in public. “Hey me and X friends are hanging out my place this weekend to watch Y movie if you’d like to join us”.

    It’s different if it’s one on one, especially if you’re opposite sex friends or there’s otherwise a reason to believe there’s romantic interest. Then you have to either accept a certain amount of unwanted romantic uncertainty/tension or outright state ahead of time that your intentions are not romantic, and both of those options are pretty awkward.
