How do you generally treat your friends’ new significant other when meeting them for the first time?

1. Like a potential new friend.

2. Kindly and cordially. Basically, I’ll introduce myself and try to include them in conversations if they seem interested/willing to be included. I’m interested in learning about them as a person, so I’ll give them the opening for that and see if they are willing to chat or not.

3. Friendly but cautious, till I get them know better.

4. The same way I treat all strangers, I’m guardedly polite until I can suss out what sort of person they are.

5. I mostly quietly observe on how to be around them as not to overwhelm them and also because I’m awkward and new people are spoopy
