So… question. When I lived in Belgium, a police officer came to my new apartment to double-check that I really lived there. She looked at my rental contract and my ID. Apparently this is standard procedure for everyone who has registered a new address, also the Belgians themselves.
Does this happen in your country as well? I know it doesn’t in Germany, Turkey or the Netherlands.
