what TV channels do you guys watch? I would like to watch some of your local news or maybe TV shows. Can I find those channels online?

  1. Our local news in Western Massachusetts is 22News (WWLP). I’d say most local stations allow you to stream online. Just visit the website. I just checked and they are streaming the 12 oclock news right now.

As for actual TV shows, I don’t watch any. If I wanna watch anything I just stream it online (such as Paramount or Discovery) that’s rare.

  2. Our television channels are NBC, ABC, PBS, ESPN, History Channel, Discovery Channel, CBS, CNN, HGTV, AMC, Animal Planet, Food Network, Cartoon Network, USA Network, A&E, Comedy Central, TNT, MTV, VH1, HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Disney Channel, Bravo, Nickelodeon, Travel Channel, National Geographic Wild, Science Channel, Smithsonian Channel, FX, SyFy, TNT, TV Land, BET, C-SPAN, and Weather Channel.

These are well known channels and are probably most popular.

  3. I haven’t watched live television outside of when it was on in the background at my grandparent’s house or in a restaurant in about 20 years. I just looked it up and I’m blown away by the fact that roughly 50% of americans still pay for cable. Even most of the boomers I know have gotten rid of cable at this point. Who are all these people with cable?

  4. I have not watched over-the-air television in at least 15 years. The only TV I watch now is on Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount Plus, Disney Plus, etc. I guess I am aware of what channels (NBC, Lifetime, etc) and production companies are making certain shows, but it’s kind of irrelevant because I watch them all via these apps.

If you want to see local news, you have to pick a city and go online and seek out that city’s local news stations. You can generally watch all their broadcasts on their websites.

There is some “local” TV still in the US, but mostly you will find stuff that is available to everyone, and you’ll find it on those apps and websites I mentioned in my first paragraph.

  5. Nobody watches TV anymore. We just stream. Cable channels are for boomers.

Local stations are for local sports, weather, news.

  6. I have cable, but the last time I used it for anything but sports was about a decade ago

  7. A lot of local news websites have restricted access due to not wanting to comply with EU privacy laws. Now a site like CNN has enough international traffic to have to comply with this. But my local ABC affiliate? Probably doesn’t have a reason to do so.

Probably the easiest way to see this type of stuff is YouTube.

    [Fox 59](https://www.youtube.com/c/Fox59WXIN)

    [WRTV (ABC)](https://www.youtube.com/user/wrtv6)

    [WFYI (PBS)](https://www.youtube.com/user/WFYIOnline)

Like most local news, its dedicated mostly to sports, weather, and local event so not sure how much it’ll appeal to you.

  8. The only live television I have watched in the last decade is sports and Saturday Night Live, maybe some local news during an event. I don’t understand why anybody would make an appointment to be in front of the tube at 8 o’clock on Wednesday to watch the CBS lineup.

  9. I listen to the radio for local news and stream everything else. I haven’t watched cable since like 3rd grade, when the internet finally got good enough in our area to drop it.

  10. Thank you, guys! So helpful and friendly! Didnt expect) now i have plenty to watch!)

  11. If you’re watching American news only watch local. National TV news in this country is vapid and noncredible as hell.

  12. I watch all sorts of stuff. CBS for survivor and TAR, Fox for news, all the sports channels, and generic dad shows such as deadliest catch, gold rush, wicked tuna, the movie channels
