I’ve been casually talking to a man in his early 30s for the last three months. We know each other in person.
We’ve had some sexual conversations but nothing too out there. A couple weeks ago he asked if I would watch him on a FaceTime call “jerk it off” while I was at work. I tried to decline his request since I was at the office, but he insisted and told me “I didn’t have to say anything.”
I was definitely put off by this and didn’t know if I was overreacting or if this is something that is considered normal in today’s dating world. This is the second time he’s wanted me to watch him.
Predator or just normal horny behavior?

It’s a little strange… if you were in a committed relationship I would say he’s probably just horny… I think he is going about all this in the wrong order though. Usually you get the girl then “facetime jerk it off” but then with the dating scene the way it is now days who knows anymore… this could be the correct first step and he is just an innovator
If you don’t like this you don’t like this. By your post it seems like it made you uncomfortable. This could have cost you your job. I know it’s casual but he seems abnormally selfish.
I mean, I’d be into it, but that’s my type of thing. It’s not necessarily “normal.” If you were already into exchanging pictures and videos that would kind of set a standard, but if you aren’t and you don’t like it then it’s too weird for you and that’s okay.
