I am a 14F an introvert started doing e-pal services to make a little bit of money, I noticed that you need to be all cheery and fun to talk to while doing your services. I am not that good in talking like for instances a client talking to me and i dont know how i could possibly respond. It feels so awkward to be just all quiet and just say Yes, Wow, Okay, Ohh, Dang. Sometimes i mess up on talking like jumble out words and it would be awkward for me and my clients. Is there any way to improve and stop stuttering?

  1. Look up examples of open ended questions! That way the recipient has to elaborate more and there are more ways to continue the conversation.

  2. Ask people about stuff they’re passionate about. Don’t know what they’re passionate about? Ask them about what they want to do as a future career. If they say they don’t know? Ask them what they’re passionate about. People love talking about what they’re passionate about and they will talk to you for hours about that particular topic/area. Make the conversation about them, not yourself. I used to be pretty awkward and anti-social when I was your age. I’m 17 now and I absolutely love talking to people. I followed exactly what I said above (I still do follow this same structure!). Once they’ve stopped talking about it you might have some questions about the topic or they might ask you the same questions, the conversation will start to flow smoothly. Good luck
