This might seem like an odd question, but I’ve noticed that the majority of girls I go on dates with never want to play a game of pool if we are at a bar with a very social pool table area. It just seems like a no-brainer for me to suggest it after a few drinks. It can be fun, flirty, and hilarious for both parties if you both suck, especially if you’re a bit tipsy. I just want a girl to play pool with me god damnit.

  1. There are lots of women who play pool. Just gotta find them. But yeah if someone invited me to a pool hall I’d expect to play at least a few rounds

  2. It might be a good idea to mention (when planning the date together ahead of time) you’d like to play pool. That way, she can be sure to wear something she’s comfortable doing that activity in. For example, she might not want to play if she’s wearing a v-neck or low cut shirt. Same thing for a short dress (or even shorts). If you think about it from our perspective, playing pool often requires us to bend over. Whether or not we intend for it to be, it can be seen as seductive or, at the very least, other men in the bar will have a good view of our ass. Not all of us are okay with that.

So, like I said, try mentioning you’d like to play pool way ahead of time when planning the date together. That way, she can tell you if she doesn’t want to play or, if she does, she can be mentally prepared and can dress in a way she’s comfortable with.

  3. Pool is a bit of a “dated” activity along with bowling. Women under 35-40 probably won’t be interested Your better off trying darts or something less conspicuous as women can be a bit self conscious as the pool table is usually out in the open for everyone to see.

  4. Most of the people that I know that like pool are women, and half of them are like under 35 and the other half are over. It’s not something the average person is probably into by default though

  5. I don’t like it. I’ll do it maybe once but beyond that I’d decline

  6. Not all girls like playing with big sticks and some balls at a bar. It can also be demoralizing and is often better kept short, except they really enjoy it

  7. Would you have high tea with your date?

Like it or not, there are still many activities in society where certain genders prefer it way more than the other. Pool is one of them.

  8. no girls don’t like playing pool! it’s boring! everytime i go to the bar with bf / past bfs they wanna play pool and i’m like fine whatever i’m not gonna sit and watch. but it’s not most girls idea of fun by any means. if a girl is on a date w you she wants your undivided attention, cuddles, romance, she wants you to dote on her, not challenge her to pool like she’s one of the bros. maybe you find a really sporty competitive chick she’ll be into it, but most feminine women don’t care to wanna try and beat you at anything like guys and their friends do lol. if you take a girl to a bar she wants you to have one too many drinks w her and not be able to keep your hands off and take her home. not say “hey, wanna play a game!”. i don’t think you understand women

  9. My first date with my husband was at a pool hall, which was perfect because if it’s not going well you only play one game and dip, if it is going well, let’s go get some dinner after a few games. I had never played before and he was pretty good so it was fun because he was teaching me and we could be flirty at our own table.
