I had unprotected sex with a my cousins friend (female) from a bar for like 5 min who said she was clean around a year ago. I didn’t ejaculate or anything. I then went back to university and went to night clubs and came up with a flu around 3 weeks later. This made me incredibly paranoid and recently I have been more paranoid than ever about what this could mean. I took a rapid Oraquick HIV test and it came up negative a month ago (9 months after I had the unprotected sex) but I am still paranoid because it is said that these tests have an 8% false diagnosis rate. Could anyone help me with this? Are these tests effective?
