They said the team has been working 100% remote and that somehow, my start date will be the day where all the team will be at the office so they can be introduced to all new comers who have been working remotely.
I’m probably one of the worst in this sub with social skills, and I’m afraid what to say in case they ask me to introduce myself. I would like some help here or advice how to deal with this or how I can at least fake it for a while. Can I say something like “Oh, so I’m a junior developer and previously I worked as X in the Y domain…’ I’m not sure what else to say or how open should I be about myself?

Take a deep breath, and say “Hello my name is jokermurk, I like baseball, and sneakers. Today is my first day”. It sounds like there will be other people who haven’t met the whole team. Just blend in
