We work at the same bar, we’ve been in a situationship (what he called it) for like 5 months. It’s been weird cus I just got out of a LTR.
He is usually really lovely but sometimes he’s randomly cold for no reason. So a week or two ago he was texting me saying shit like “I wanna scoop you off the market and make you my girl” and stuff about being excited to see my face when he was coming to see me for like an hour to get a coffee because we were on opposite shifts.
Anyway last night I was helping him cash up and I was sleepy af. It was like 4am. I just said to him “can I have a hug?” And he gave me a one arm kinda thing I was like “aw no a proper one you give the best hugs”.
And he responded “who’s got the power now?”
I don’t get what he means but since then he’s been pretty off with me.

I have no idea what that would even mean. Especially in this situation. Like is he ok?? That’s so strange. Sorry I don’t have advice.
I’d say, as a guy, he’s starting to perhaps feel something for you and is defending himself by putting you down so he feels better about the dynamic – as in, he wants to be in charge.
That can be relatively normal with a fwb, but not necessarily healthy.
Ask him what that means to him
